The Rotary Club of Canberra was chartered on 16 June, 1928, with Sir Robert Garran as its founding President.
It presently has around 80 members and meets weekly over lunch.
Club members hold the view that fellowship is a basis of service. Through the weekly meetings, the members draw on each others talents, skills and contacts to pursue the Clubs service programs.
These are in five areas of service: Club Service, Community Service, Vocational Service, International Service and New Generations and the Club is active in all of them.
